THE SABAN FREE CLINIC

We are currently soliciting resumes for the following positions:

Unless otherwise indicated, all positions are full time

Front Desk Specialist – Two Full Time -  
Standard Schedule 12:00 pm to 8:30pm 
Standard schedule  8:00 am to 4:30 pm (may vary)

Position Summary:   
Responsible for accurate and timely registration of patients.  Conduct financial screening, process patient’s paperwork.  Maintain and oversee accurate patient demographics, update data in chart and computer as needed.  Process, review and document patients discharge from Clinic services.  Provide and assist patients with referrals, follow-up visits/appointments, community resources, and specialty care services as needed.  Responsible for the overall organization and maintenance of all clinical records.  Efficiently and accurately maintain a numerical filing system.  Update and purge charts/records as necessary.  Maintain excellent customer service standards.  Uphold the Clinic’s mission in providing quality service and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Primary Qualifications: 
Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED.  One year experience in a health care setting, preferably in a Community Health Center.  Demonstrated ability using numeric filing system.  Fluency in written and spoken English.  Demonstrated ability to set priorities for tasks, to work effectively in spite of interruptions and under minimal supervision.  Excellent customer relations and communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to relate to individuals representing a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Must efficiently operate the Clinic’s PMS (Health Port) within three months of hire. flexible with work schedules and able to travel from site to site.


Appointment Scheduler –
One FT-   Regular status Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 4pm

Primary responsibilities:
Handle in-coming patients’ calls and provide accurate information to patients.  Schedule appointments accurately maximizing practitioners’ time and making sure those patients are placed in the appropriate appointment template based on their medical needs or request.  When unable to assist patients ensure that they are directed to the appropriate staff for an efficient resolution of their medical needs.  Answer questions regarding Clinic services and appointment related information; direct unrelated questions to appropriate staff.  Confirm or cancel appointments in accordance with current Clinic policies and procedures. Close, reschedule and block templates as requested/directed.  Handle patient information with utmost respect and confidentiality.  Maintain a professional, friendly and courteous attitude at all times.  Handle patients’ concerns in a professional manner.  Refer patient to appropriate Lead for handling and/or resolution of issues.

Qualifications: 
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities to perform assigned duties and functions.  Excellent telephone and customer service relation skills.  Knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred.  Fluency in written and spoken English required. Fluency (written and spoken) in another language such as Spanish or Korean preferred.    Prior experience working in a Call Center highly preferred. Able to demonstrate proficiency with the Clinic PMS (HealthPort) and with the Clinic phone system after training.  Demonstrated ability to respond with sensitivity to people of diverse cultures and various lifestyles.
